A personal milestone!
For the first time since the jan AAS meeting my mailbox is down to less than 1000 unresolved e-mails.
For today.
Yay me.
For today.
Yay me.
Speculations on astronomy, astrophysics, news I find interesting,
science and science policy.
In particular: gravitational radiation
sources, black holes, exoplanets and astrobiology.
I will digress into basically whatever I feel like whenever.
And, of course, cats. To say nothing of the dog.
Steinn SigurĂ°sson is an astrophysicist at Penn State.
Needless to say, my opinions are my own and I do not speak for any institution in this capacity

I'm at 955, but losing ground fast. I will stay below 1000, I will!
Critical to do so.
I should have learned my lesson when I let the mailbox go above 100 messages and it immediately exploded to 500+
I held the ground at 1000 for a long time, but soon as it crossed the line I was up near 2000 messages. And that is not manageable.
So I made the push and got it down to almost 500, but not quite...
I don't think I'll see the downside of 100 ever again, barring catastrophies of some sort.
