I did the little quiz thing, and it said that I should get a PhD in Science. Well, I am sure glad that I had already decided that same thing a couple of decades ago!
Get a philosophy degree, open up a philosophy shop.

Never mind that the only "B" I got at university was in philosophy (he liked Sartre, I did not, and made the mistake of making my opinion clear); and I think my "O-level" English Lit teacher still gets nightmares about my essay on Lord of the Flies.
Such a waste.
Oh of course, what was the supposedly sacreligious little reference in the O-level essay?
I don't think Linguistics is the best of bases for becoming a non-PhD Dr somehow...
There are worse things than slating Sartre, I would think...Not so long ago in one of my Syntax/Semantics tutorials when we were looking at truth tables, logic and that sort of thing a girl asserted that "But surely if there is one instance of something, that means that it's true in all instances?" Ahh the slipping standards of today...
