Speculations on astronomy, astrophysics, news I find interesting,
science and science policy.
In particular: gravitational radiation
sources, black holes, exoplanets and astrobiology.
I will digress into basically whatever I feel like whenever.
And, of course, cats. To say nothing of the dog.
Steinn SigurĂ°sson is an astrophysicist at Penn State.
Needless to say, my opinions are my own and I do not speak for any institution in this capacity

Uh Steinn..... old farts like who?
It is to laugh.
Old-fartness is self-selected;
anyone in a state of mind to do so can proclaim themselves to be a young whippersnapper.
For what it is worth, I first saw this result (I think a Science News & Views comment), was when Someone Who Shall Forever Be Nameless pinned it on Roger Blandford's door on the occasion of his 40th birthday.
I have hung on to the memory all those many years since to use on an appropriate occasion.
Enjoy and be reassured.
Steinn, I have a question: When is Roger Blandford's birthday? Only day and month will do, so we can celebrate.
Thanks,
a colleague
