Speculations on astronomy, astrophysics, news I find interesting,
science and science policy.
In particular: gravitational radiation
sources, black holes, exoplanets and astrobiology.
I will digress into basically whatever I feel like whenever.
And, of course, cats. To say nothing of the dog.
Steinn Sigurðsson is an astrophysicist at Penn State.
Needless to say, my opinions are my own and I do not speak for any institution in this capacity

Umm, why not do what they do here at Illinois: make the postdocs (and grad students) do it for you? It's amazing what people do if you promise them doughnut holes twice weekly...
BTW, any comments on the grauniad piece on European vs. American football hooliganism, or the perceived lack thereof in regard to the latter? I think most of their conculsions are actually crap, personally. At the Illinois-Penn state football game, the Nittany Lions fan behind us was taking a decent amount of crap, but only because she told a group of democrats that she was a republican...
